Jaime Palafox, business owner and operator, opened Agoura AutoSounds on March 15, 2017. Jaime has been in this industry for 25 years and going, he began to hang around the stereo shops in the 90's where he would learn by watching the guys work on cars. His interest started growing when he got his first job at a stereo shop and began learning basic car stereo installation, box building, wiring, and alarm installation. He was owner of a business for the first time at a different location, however due to the economy the business was forced to close down in 2008. Jaime, continued working at another well-known shop where he became the installation manager, and he would also take care of fabrication, tuning and system design, troubleshooting, and doing the things that the other installers were incapable of doing. There he started to save for his business which finally was opened up in 2017. Since then, he has attended many training's, he has attended KnowledgeFest, SEMA, and many other car shows where vehicles that he has worked on appear at the car shows. Searching to grow his business and gain more knowledge, he is doing everything it takes to learn and pass it on to his sons. Jaime has been awarded as top 50 installer four times, once in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Also, he was awarded as top 12 installer in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Furthermore, Jaime has came out on the cover of Mobile Electronics magazine with a full article on his business and his main focus. Jaime continues to work hard every day to ensure customer satisfaction and really making sure that everything is perfect. Now, he has his two sons who help out around the shop and his daughter who also helps with office and billing. Jaime plans to grow this business to pass it on over to his sons to continue running the business while he is able to focus more on custom fabrication and the actual projects that we bring in.
